SEMBRONG is a federal constituency in Johor, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat as Parliamentary seat No. 153 (P153) since 2004. The federal constituency was created from parts of the Kluang constituency in the 2003 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Dewan Rakyat under the first past the post voting system.There are two State Assembly seats located within the P153 Sembrong Constituency. These are, N30 Kahang and N31 Paloh.
Both KAHANG and PALOH are mukim (townships) in the Kluang District, Johor, Malaysia.
KAHANG is particularly known as the final stop before heading to the Endau Rompin National Park and located along the Malaysia Federal Route 50. The town's main economic activity is the cultivation of oil palms and rubber trees.
Located 35km away from Kluang, PALOH is an old town that is home to various authentic dishes. During colonial periods, the town is just a low-lying swampy area hence its initial name "Paya" while "Paloh" is a transliteration of that initial name. Similar to KAHANG, the town's main economic activity is the cultivation of oil palms and rubber trees.
